Well Lived NC — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of welllivednc.com (the "Site"), operated by Llama House Partners LLC ("Well Lived NC," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What Well Lived NC Is
Well Lived NC is a resource directory and content platform for older adults, family caregivers, and professional caregivers in North Carolina. We provide a directory of businesses and organizations, editorial content, recipes, and event information related to aging well.
Well Lived NC is a directory and information resource, not a healthcare provider, referral service, or guarantor of any listed business. We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee the quality, licensing, safety, or suitability of any vendor, business, or organization listed on the Site. Decisions about which businesses or services to engage with are entirely your own, and we encourage independent research before making decisions related to care, health, housing, or finances.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, or, if you are a business, to browse and submit listing information as described below. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in a listing, submission, or RSVP
- Use the Site to harvest data, scrape content, or interfere with normal operation
- Impersonate another business, organization, or person
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to remove any content, listing, or account that violates these Terms.
3. Business Listings
Free Listings
Businesses may submit a listing for consideration. Submissions are reviewed by our team before publication, and we reserve the right to approve, reject, or request changes to any submission at our discretion. A free listing includes basic business information as described on the Site at the time of submission.
Featured/Paid Listings
Featured listings are available for a fee, described at the time of purchase, and include additional features such as an expanded profile, priority placement, and lead-generation tools. Featured listing terms — including pricing, renewal, and cancellation — are governed by the Vendor/Sponsor Agreement presented at checkout, which supplements these Terms.
Accuracy of Listing Information
Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of the information in their listing and for keeping it up to date. We are not responsible for outdated or inaccurate listing information.
Removal
We may remove any listing, free or paid, that violates these Terms, contains false information, or that we determine, in our discretion, is not a good fit for the Site. Removal of a paid listing is subject to the refund terms in the applicable Vendor/Sponsor Agreement.
4. Events
Well Lived NC may host or list events, including our own expos and third-party community events. Where we host our own event:
- Registration, RSVP, and ticketing terms are as described at the time of signup
- RSVPs for free events are estimates, not guarantees of attendance capacity, and vice versa — an RSVP does not guarantee entry if an event reaches capacity
- Refunds for paid tickets or vendor/sponsor fees are generally not offered, except at our discretion on a case-by-case basis, as described at the time of purchase
We are not responsible for the conduct, cancellation, or content of third-party events listed on the Site but not hosted by us.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Our Content
All original content on the Site — including articles, guides, recipes, graphics, and the Site's design — is owned by Well Lived NC / Llama House Partners LLC or its contributors, and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish our content without permission, except for personal, non-commercial use (for example, printing a guide for your own reference).
Contributor Content
If you contribute content to the Site (as an editor, contributor, or professional contributor), you retain ownership of your work but grant Well Lived NC a license to publish, display, and distribute it on the Site and in related promotional materials.
Third-Party Content
Vendor logos, descriptions, and linked websites belong to their respective owners. We are not responsible for the content of external websites linked from the Site.
6. Accounts
Some areas of the Site (the admin panel, and eventually a business dashboard) require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
7. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Content on the Site, including recipes, guides, and vendor information, is provided for general informational purposes and is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions related to health, care, housing, or finances.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Well Lived NC and Llama House Partners LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, your interactions with any listed business, or your reliance on any content published on the Site.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
