Local aging services, caregiver support, and senior centers
North Carolina's Area Agencies on Aging connect families to caregiver support, meals, senior centers, and local referrals — organized by region rather than one central office. In the Triangle, Triad, and Charlotte areas, this typically means Wake County's Council on Aging, the Triangle J or Piedmont Triad Councils of Governments, or Centralina Area Agency on Aging, depending on your county.
Call 211 or visit NC DHHS's Area Agencies on Aging directory to find the office serving your county.
