Well Lived NC — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 06, 2026 Version: 1.0
Well Lived NC ("Well Lived NC," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Llama House Partners LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through welllivednc.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Email signups. If you subscribe to updates via our holding page or newsletter, we collect your email address through Kit, our email service provider.
- Vendor/business submissions. If you submit a business listing, we collect the information provided in the submission form — business name, category, description, contact information, website, and phone number.
- Event RSVPs and ticket purchases. If you RSVP to or purchase tickets for a Well Lived NC event, we collect your name, email, phone number, and party size. Ticket purchases are processed through Stripe (see Section 4).
- Vendor and sponsor payments. If you register as a paid vendor or event sponsor, payment is processed through Stripe. We do not directly collect or store your card number or full payment details — see Section 4.
- Content submissions. If you are a Well Lived NC contributor, editor, or admin user, we collect your email address and any content you author on the platform.
Information collected automatically
- Quiz responses. If you use the "What do you need help with?" quiz, we log your selected answers (audience type and topic tags) to understand what visitors are looking for. This data is collected without any personal identifying information — we do not tie quiz responses to your identity.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site — pages visited, general location (city/region level, not precise address), device type, and referral source. See Section 5 for more on cookies and tracking.
Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive health information, government ID numbers, or financial account details beyond what is necessary to process a payment through Stripe (which we never see directly).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and maintain the directory, blog, and event features of the Site
- Process vendor listing submissions and approvals
- Process event RSVPs, ticket purchases, and vendor/sponsor payments
- Send you emails you've requested (newsletter, event confirmations, submission status updates)
- Understand how the Site is used, in order to improve it
- Communicate with you if you contact us directly
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services described above, or as required by law. Vendor listing data is retained for as long as the listing remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion of your information at any time — see Section 8.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on the following third-party service providers to operate the Site. Each has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication infrastructure |
| Netlify | Website hosting |
| Stripe | Payment processing for vendor/sponsor fees and event tickets. Stripe receives your payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number. |
| Kit | Email newsletter and subscriber management |
| Google Analytics | Website usage analytics |
We share only the information necessary for each service to perform its function (for example, Stripe receives payment information necessary to process a transaction; Kit receives the email address you provide to subscribe).
5. Cookies and Tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, primarily through Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site. These cookies collect general usage data and do not identify you personally. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some Site functionality.
6. Children's Privacy
Well Lived NC is intended for adults, including caregivers and family members researching resources for aging loved ones. The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Site, role-based access controls limiting who on our team can view or edit data, and never directly handling raw payment card information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Unsubscribe from email communications at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@welllivednc.com.
- Vendors may request their listing be removed or updated at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law (for example, the right to know what data we hold about you, or to request its deletion). Contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected on this page; where a vendor or user has agreed to a prior version in connection with a paid transaction, we will retain a record of the version they agreed to.
